Our Core Machining Services

Engine Boring

Boring an engine, which involves increasing the diameter of the cylinders, offers several benefits, primarily related to increased engine displacement and performance.

Engine Line Honing

Engine Block Line Honing is a process that brings main journal alignment to proper alignment. Generally used post a line bore process but still applies to other engine block that don't need a full line bore. This is necessary to allow each main bore housing aligns with the following housing.

Engine Cylinder Honing

The main purpose of honing a cylinder is to improve the surface finish of the cylinder wall. A smooth surface finish is important because it helps the piston rings to seat properly and form a tight seal.

Crankshaft Grinding

Crankshaft grinding is a machine shop process where the rod and main journals of a crankshaft are re-shaped to restore them to proper dimensions after wear or damage. This process involves carefully removing a minimal amount of material from the journals using a grinding wheel, allowing for new bearings to be installed to maintain the correct clearances and prevent future engine issues.

Cylinder Head Resurfacing

Cylinder head resurfacing is a process where a machinist uses a machine to mill away any imperfections or warping on the surface of the cylinder head. This process creates a flatter, more even surface, which is crucial for a proper seal with the head gasket.

Engine Block Resurfacing

Cylinder blocks may need to be resurfaced to restore flatness or to improve the surface finish, or even milled to change the deck height for a variety of reasons. The deck surface on the block may need to be resurfaced if the surface isn't smooth or flat.

Custom Lathe Work

Lathes can handle a wide range of materials and projects, from simple cylindrical shapes to complex, intricately designed parts. Metal lathes can work with a variety of metals, including steel, aluminum, brass, and stainless steel. We can use this process across various industries, from automotive to farm and construction equipment and more.

Milling Services

Metal milling services involve using specialized machines to precisely shape and cut metal into desired forms. These services are commonly used for producing prototypes, jigs and fixtures, and small to large production runs of metal parts.
